In 2007 Simon graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) degree in Sport Development. As a F.A Level 3 coach (UEFA B) Simon has a number of years coaching experience including coaching in the USA and Canada. After spending 6 years at Leeds United as an academy coach Simon joined Manchester City in 2009 as an academy scout and development coach.
